About EPHI
The Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) is Ethiopia's premier public health laboratory, established by the Council of Ministers Regulation No. 529/2023. As an autonomous federal government office accountable to the Federal Minister of Health, EPHI sets the standard for food safety and quality testing in Ethiopia.
Their Food Safety and Public Health Microbiology Research Laboratory has extensive experience in edible oil analysis, having conducted studies on over 125 edible oil samples to establish national quality standards.
